Spoiler: Its amazing! Must buy, must try, must have
Its a Japanese product manufactured by Rohto Menthlatum that I found out about on Korean skincare blogs stting here in Bangladesh and ordered from Malaysia. It says lotion but in Japan that means toner that goes on after face wash but before moisturizer. Confused yet?
Don't worry, it's a very simple no nonsense product and while it does not have many flashy claims such as whitening, brightening and tightening it does one essential thing for your skin and does it very well, that is HYDRATE!
I started using it from 26th Nov and my skin was in desperate need of it since the weather had started changing and becoming drier around then. I had these scaly flaky patches around my nose and cheeks and my regular moisturizer just wasn't cutting it. Putting on the HL hydrating lotion was like a jug of water for my parched dull, flaky skin. The next day flakes were gone after using it twice and my face felt genuinely soft and hydrated and just comfortable. I use it right before my moisturizer and you only need a few drops to cover your face adequately so I think one bottle will last me a while .
But bear in mind, this not a moisturizer substitute/alternative. You will still need to apply your regular moisturizer to seal it all in. Think of it as a moisturizer booster.
I got the light version which is marketed for combo/oily skin but my skin is mostly normal leaning dry. The rich/original version wasn't available wen I got it so ill definitely try out the rich/original version once im done with this bottle.
Oily/acne prone skin people don't be afraid of this. Its watery and light weight texture, and minimal ingredients should not irritate your skin. It is a must try in my opinion for all skin types and all ages.
